DTF Heat Press Guide
1st Press
Apply FIRM PRESSURE at 300–315°F for 7–10 seconds with the image in proper placement. Experiment with your heat press to achieve optimal results.
Important: Firm and even pressure is critical for good adhesion. Avoid pockets, seams, buttons, zippers, or uneven surfaces within the press area.
Peel Options
Cold Peel: Allow the transfer to cool completely before removing the film. If needed, gently rub the film with a cloth before peeling.
Hot Peel: Let the transfer cool briefly (approximately 15 seconds), then peel. The film will still release the image even if fully cooled.
Instant Peel: Peel immediately using one smooth, low-angle stroke across the image to remove the film.
2nd Press
Apply FIRM PRESSURE at 280–300°F for 3–7 seconds.
Note: Firm and even pressure is essential. Avoid pressing over pockets, seams, buttons, or zippers.
Fabric-Specific Guidelines
Polyester / Blends: Lower temperature to approximately 280°F and shorten press time to 3–7 seconds, as these fabrics absorb heat faster.
100% Polyester: Lower temperature to 250–285°F and press for 3–7 seconds. Test to determine optimal settings. Multiple presses may be required with cooling time between presses.
🔧 Tip: Every heat press is different. Always test on a sample garment to dial in the best temperature, time, and pressure before full production.
